Ferry & Florea fun on Bainbridge

Friday was a beautiful day in Seattle, finally started to feel like a little bit of Spring, so we headed over to Bainbridge Island to visit the Floreas.  We had a delicious lunch, thanks to Carl and Debbie's great cooking, and then doodled around downtown Winslow to just let the sun drench our pale skin.  It was a lovely day and as always we went a little photo crazy, so here are some cute ones!

One month old today!

I cannot believe our little sweat pea is one month old today, and that is has been that long since our journey to the hospital.  How strange that time can fly so fast but feel like a lifetime at the same time.  Elise has grown in so many ways... no more little white baby pimples and peeling skin, her hair has started to fall out along side her long locks that make up her mohawk, and her head control and eye gaze is getting noticeably better every day.  I love every ounce of her, even her cute little stinky milk breath.  Happy one month my little one.

We have gone a little lambie crazy... from bedding, stuffed toys, mobiles to the latest find at Costco, a sherpa lambie blanket, - so we had fun with a little photo shoot with all of the lambs.

And a few cute faces too!!! Especially the oooohhh.

To grandparents house we go.

This last weekend we had our first road trip with Elise over the mountains to Wenatchee and Leavenworth.  We were all spoiled with all the love in the world, especially little sweat pea.  Babicka Lenka and dedecek Petr (Czech for grandma and grandpa) had a crib, bath tub, bouncy chair and a hundred diapers waiting, it made our transition so easy.  Auntie Lucie and uncle Quinn came over too and brought their baby Luna bear who is now a 5 month old dogie and growing so fast.  We took a nice walk on the loop trail and got lots of snuggle time with the family.  We then visited grandma Connie and grandpa Terry in Leavenworth for a fun afternoon and yummy dinner, the snow was coming down so we didn't venture out for any walks.  Elise was able to meet Sadie and Carlie and received a few licks!  We had a great trip, thank you for all the love.

My favorites from the past two weeks

DADDY's love bug

Many firsts

I have never experienced such a life changing moment as when we welcomed Elise Ana into our world.  On February 20th, 2011 at 8:29 in the evening, she made a graceful entrance weighing in at 8 pounds 4 ounces, measuring  20 inches.   We could not wait to take her home.

She is such a sweet little one with the cutest baby nose, growing cheeks and reddish tint to her pretty hair... too early to call her a red head, but the possibility is there.  Evan calls her his "mimi me" and I have to agree.  We are falling deeper in love with her every day.

The past two weeks have been a blur - we have almost mastered endless diaper changes and solo car rides (baby and mom), taken four baths and are learning how to re-enter the world - needless to say, we have a lot to learn.  Not sure if the sleepless nights ever get easier!

I have never been a blogger, so pardon the grammatical errors (Evan's pet peeve; I say it gives character), but now that we have many Elise adventures to report, I am hoping blogging makes sharing a little easier, especially with those far away.  If only this thing could translate into Czech.
