a day at the river

Gorgeous day in Leavenworth today: 80 degrees and sunshine.  If only someone was willing to wear her sun hat!

auntie Lucie

Special surprise visits are always welcome, especially when auntie Lucie visits.  It has been much too long since we've had a longer stretch with Lucie.  Couldn't have been a more perfect weekend with weather and so we did house projects and lounged while little peanut ran around sunbathing her bum:)

turning thirty

Turning thirty... wish some inspirational thoughts would come to mind, but simply stated, I feel so so lucky in life.  I feel so blessed with amazing family and friends whom I love and feel so loved in return.  I don't think one could ask for more.

Had just about the most perfect weekend getaway without our little babe (that sounds so unkind typed out), the first one in 14 months! And, though she was missed, it felt amazing and so "young" to be able to bopp around Seattle kiddless. Shopping at UVillage, delicious Palace Kitchen for dinner and my favorite company in these five friends ~ they are one of a kind and they spoiled me to pieces.  I forgot my camera, so these are all phone pics but still captured these fun memories for us.

While we were away, Elise had a mini vacation of her own at grandma and grandpa's.  Not sure if it was a vacation for them... BUT they had a great time, at least it appeard that way:)  Elise loves her babi and deda.

Happy Easter with family

Just got home from the most special weekend in Seattle.  Quite the gathering we had of family with Janie and family flying in from Oakland, and others from nearby in Washington State.  Karen and Eric hosted an amazing Easter feast for 20 people plus, and made it look compltely effortless.  We spent hours at the Greenlake park and enjoyed the beautiful Seattle sunshine with these three little peanuts.  Lily and Emma are only 2.5 months apart  and in some of the photos look just like little sisters, in my opinion, while Emma is a vibrant beautiful little 3 year old and leader of the pack.  Thanks for sharing your time and making the trip up for this special visit.

Grandma is in heaven here I think:)

Can you tell which one of these peanuts doesn't like baths?

Uncle Andrew doing a great hair blow out to mermaid.

Also were able to squeeze in a quick breakfast with Lucie and Quinn:)

First Pony

Someone's strawberry blonde locks are growing... and mommy was excited to make her first pony tail!

Grandma Connie

Birthday girl and her assistant.
We love you grandma Connie!

slides, swings and rope courses

With a giant grin from our eight toother, we have now entered the park world.  Oh my, could she stay for hours.  We are learning from the parents around us who count down the minutes or number of slides left for their little ones before it's time to pack up and head out.  Although our little one has no understanding like that yet she, thank goodness, gets distracted by a nearby dog or bird so making an exit isn't as tragic yet.  Though I am a getting glimpse of what our future holds.

We did have some fun at a local park and a park in lake Chelan the past two weekends.
