Logan & Elise... and the rest of us too

Logan and Elise are two little love bugs that are just so cute together that we can't stand to keep them apart!  We jumped on the chance to go see the Floreas on Bainbridge as they are back for a short visist from Costa Rica.  We had a great time with such special friends.

Boys and their tots

Sad that Beth and I didn't make it into any of our pictures... but we were there too:)

A fun ferry ride home with our special birthday boy... the best daddy, husband and friend!

Ali & Eli reunited

A quick and fun visit with Ali (Elise's little twin, born just two days earlier).  Met up at teh U-Village to spalsh around the turtle fountains.

Seattle sunshine on Alki

The summer was in full bloom in Seattle this past weekend and we squeezed in all that we could.  Love West Seattle and all that it contains, especially the people on it:)

Birthday Dinner at Cactus, where even the non-alcoholic fru-fru drinks are absolutely delicious.

Family gathering at the lake

It is once in a rare while that we all have the opportunity to be in one place at one time.  And when that rare while happens, it is meant to be cherished and celebrated and that is exactly what we did.  Travis and family traveled from Toronto, Janie and family from Oakland, Connie & Terry from Leavenworth and we were spoiled with the shortest distance from Wenatchee.  The meeting spot... the cabin at lake Chelan.

It was a weekend with hugs, laughs, kiddos running around with naked bums, aunties (auntie Janie) swimming logs out so they don't stand a chance of returning back to the cove, ping pong battles while holding toddlers in the other hand, grandmas jumping into the lake with their clothes, birthday celebrations, waving to the lady of the lake every morning and not to forget gourment meals from amazing cooks in the house all finished off by delicious fruit cobblers from scratch made with grandma's love.  There is nothing not to love and we left with both our hearts and bellies full until next time.

The girls in their matching outfits from grandma.

Our little swimmer loved the 60 degree water, for a little dip:)

... and found a perch of momma's growing belly to warm up.

Janie was the braves of us all and spent more than an hour in the water at once pushing logs out of the cove

Concluded the trip with a visit from my parents:)

A special bachelorette

My dearest friend is getting married this weekend.  She is a girl unlike any other and is so so special to me.  Two weeks ago now, we celebrated her last weeks as a bachelorette with a weekend filled with all of her favorite things... Ray's Boathouse, sailing, and a night on the town, followed by breakfast and morning at Pike's Place.  I can't even begin to say how much fun we all had and I know it is all that lies ahead for Miss Jaclyn.

Sailing and Crabbing

Engine trouble on the sail boat + very little wind = running late to dinner, which means getting ready in the parking lot somewhere downtown by the train tracks:)
