House project, phase one almost complete

The past several weekends, following the wall demo, carpet patching, tile work and ceiling drywall patching have been spent painting the ceilings and most of the remainder our house.  For now, everything but replacing the baseboards is complete and we are glad to have our weekends back!  We love the sunshine streaming through and the open feel.   Until early Spring, when we tackle the irrigation and landscaping, we are going to refrain from Home Depot:)

Our two sillies

There has been lots of action and silliness in our home but poorly documented, thank goodness for the phone camera and Instagram.  Our two peanuts are as silly as can be and love to play together.

The undies on the head was all Finn's idea:)

Everyone loves chips!

During the Australian Open, Elise suddenly disappeared to her room and returned wearing this, nothing but a tulle purple skirt and a shirt.  She yells out "I'm the same" and points to the screen where Azarenka is playing in a purple skirt and nude bloomers, Elise continues "I'm naked like her"!

Finney is getting so many new teeth and is a trooper as 4 are coming through at once.

This weeks breakfast choice - corn, just corn!

First Snow, finally!

End of January, and finally the first snowfall.  Even a few glimpses of sunshine!

Everyone was excited to see the snow this morning and go outside to play, but one changed his mind quickly after stepping outside.  After spending at least 15 minutes getting all bundled up, we spend maybe 10 minutes outside before the tears were too much:)

Auntie Janie

Two weekends ago we had such a special day with Janie, grandma and Conger family in Gig Harbor.  It a treat to see Janie this time of year, wish it could be more often.  Love you!

A fuzzy picture, but a cute one none the less.

Daddy's Baby clothes

Grandma Connie brought over some of daddy's baby clothes, including this stylish jean jacket and blue sweater knitted by great grandma Carolyn.   So special to see things last a generation and fun for the kiddos to wear.

It is almost impossible to get a photo of Elise not bitting her nails, chewing on her hair and making silly faces;)

Finnegan 15 months

15 months tomorrow.... oh how time flies.

Finnegan, Finn, Finousku, Finney, our little sweetie,
You are truly the sweetest and most easy going little boy, and have been from the day you were born. You love to snuggle with mommy, play chase with daddy, follow sissy and do all that she does, build forts with grandma, wear babi's bead necklaces, and watch cars on the computer with deda.  You love to be around your family and just give the biggest smile and grin when you see one of us.  You have also learned to like daycare and miss Meghan and no longer cry (as much) when daddy drops you off, phew.  You LOVE to eat, everything, and it is such a joy feeding you, there truly is nothing you don't like, though you are not a big milk drinker.  For the most part, you are sleeping through the night 75% of the time, which is great.  You started walking around 12.5 months and have been on the move since, speed growing daily.  You love to practice your running skills around anything you can make a circle especially if Elise is chasing you or you are chasing her.  You two have become  such buddies and have started to really play together this past month, it is so lovely for many reasons and mommy loves that it gives her a little time to do something else.  You are one athletic little boy and can dunk a basketball with daddy's help, your grip is out of this world and the force you push/pull with is remarkable for a 15 month old.  Your vocabulary and mental processing has taken off in the past few weeks and it is so much fun to watch you learn, mimic and develop new skills every day.

Favorite words: 1. Auto (car) .... you have fascination with cars, deda is very happy
dada, mama, "Lis" for Elise, ba (ball), deda, babi, bye bye.... and I'm sure there are others.

It is so much fun watching you learn and grow into a sweet, sometimes rowdy, snuggly little toddler.
WE love you so much our little Finnegan.

(a little maple syrup in your hair from this morning's breakfast gave you a little style in your hair)

Seattle Aquarium

We just got home from a quick weekend trip to Seattle which of course included the aquarium.  Both kids absolutely love to look at all the fish and play with the activities.

Finn almost 15 months and Lincoln 11 months

And this is how pooping on the road happens:)  While mommy was told to stay out of the car!
