Summer catch up

Summer is definitely here and before baby is here, I better catch up and document all that we have been up to.  We haven't left Wenatchee except for local adventures in the past two months but we have stayed busy.  From biking, visiting parks, beaches and pools to cool off, play dates with friends and fun around the house it has been such a special time to be at home with these two and take it all in.

Father's Day

Happy Father's Day to the special daddies in our lives.  We had a wonderful weekend with our families and finished the weekend off with our first ride on the Wenatchee Rails train.  The kiddos loved it and I'm sure we will be doing it again and again.

New ride

Someone is in heaven with their new Mercedes, can't decide if it's deda or Elise :)  Finn on the other hand has ridden in it only one the first day and since is too scared to get it, only wants to play with radio and horn.  Elise is amazingly an excellent driver, like she was born to drive navigating around babi and deda's yard and parking in the garage.  For now she has taken over babi's garage spot so babi parks outside:)    What lucky kiddos.

Weekend with cousins

Lucie and I talked last year how fun this summer will be with the kiddos being so close in age and playing together and we're almost there!  It is so much fun having Owen visit and to see the interaction between the three.  Elise loves to check on Owen and nurture him in not always so gentle nurturing ways and Finn loves to yell and get Owen's attention.  Before long these three will be chasing each other around the yard, causing lots of mischief for babi and deda :)

31 weeks

Beautiful babi with her grandbabies!

We had a wonderful day at the cabin yesterday with grandma, full of beach, sand, beach fire, hot dogs, games and rest for mommy :)

Prepping and placing sod

Two weeks ago we finally were ready to prep the ground and place sod.  It has been the most transformative project yet and feels wonderful to have grass, which also means no more constant dirt brought into the house.

Owen visits

These three peanuts just don't even know how much fun they will have in the years to come.  So far, Finn is extremely jealous of babi holding anyone but him, especially Owen, but I suppose this is all in good training for what is to come.  Owen is such a cutie and loves to observe the action around him.  Always so special to have Lucie, Quinn & Owen visit.
