Peter's 2 month stats

Our sweet Peter is almost always happy, but even he sometimes cries, especially at the doctors office.  We are frequent fliers there lately, as with three kids and their baby well checks one of their appointments is always on the calendar.

While Evan was off celebrating our dear friend Tyler and Lisa's wedding in Jackson Hole, I was home solo for the first time with three kids.  I had such great company and help from Connie, my dad as well as auntie Lucie.  Everyone was wonderful and I think I would have gone crazy without them.  

Poor little Owen was a little overwhelmed by Eli and Finn's singing of the ABCs.  

Finnegan 2 years

You are just about the cutest and funniest 2 year old around.  From you toothy grin to your twinkly eyes and wild hair you are incredibly photogenic and love to show off in front of the camera and in life.  You are SOOO full of energy and absolutely love to run run run, play chase, hide and jump like crazy on our couch.  You navigate your radio flyer 4 wheeled scoot like a pro.  You are incredibly coordinated, agile and mobile and no doubt a little athlete in training.  When you fall, you yell out kiss it mommy, and as soon as I do you forget about it and move on.  You are a champ of an eater, so much so that you stuff yourself uncontrollably until you throw up if we're not careful to portion control your meals.  You haven't had a haircut in a few months and you absolutely despise it, so it looks like you will have long hair for a while.  You still sleep in your crib and show no desire to climb out, though soon enough we will need to scoot you to your big boy bed and make room for Peter.   You love to play princesses with Elise and dress up in her skirts and run around the house but nothing compares with toy tools, cars and trains.  Garbage trucks, large trucks and anything with a siren is your favorite, garbage day truly can't come soon enough every week.  Finny you are just a sweetie, you are so lovable, kissable and incredibly funny.  You are so so loved by your big sis; you two have become the best of friends since you have both been home the past few months.  Your language skills are absolutely precious right now and I somehow selfishly wish you could talk like this forever.  You are speaking in multi word sentences, at least 4-5 words at a time.   You can even count to 10, and missing a few numbers to 20.  You also know the entire alphabet song, though need just a few reminders.  You LOVE to sing and dance and whenever we are out and about and you hear music over the speakers you yell out "dance time".

You have never desired to sleep with any toys/blankets, but the minute you got your chainsaw yesterday for an early birthday present you have been inseparable and even fell asleep with it in your crib last night:)  You adore tools and being in the garage with daddy or deda.

Pre School

We are one month in and Elise is really enjoying going to school twice a week.  From her teacher, friends and fun projects she gets to work on she is a happy camper.

Peter 2 months

Oh Peter, happy 2 months my sweetie.  How can you possibly get any cuter, I don't think it's possible, yet each day you learn how to smile more and coo which makes you that much more irresistible.  

You are still so tall and skinny, yet those cute cheeks and little rolls are growing each day.  You have such smiley eyes and grin.  Two weeks ago you started smiling several times on a daily basis and now it's almost constant.  You are truly so so happy almost all the time, I feel so so blessed and you make my life so easy.  I suppose you have no choice since attention is now split three ways but are a trooper and are often very content just swinging in your swing and looking at the mobile above you.  Your eye color and hair color are yet to be determined but they do seem to be getting darker each day compared to your brother and sister.   Each week, if we're at home, your sleep marginally improves.  Last night you set a record of a 4 hour stretch and that was fantastic.  You also take a bottle like a champ, only have tried twice, but you far exceeded Eli's and Finn's bottle ability so far.  You love your binky and it calms and occupies you like nothing else.  It is so much fun watching you grow!

Beautiful September day at the cabin

Janie attempted to move this log all summer from under the dock, but with the water finally low enough Evan was able to push it fout and set it on its way!  Who knows Janie, I am sure next year there will be even a bigger and better one waiting for you:)
