Happy 1st Birthday Peter

Happy 1 year Peter Terrence!

A year ago you filled our hearts when we first met you at 12 o'clock sharp, 8 days before your due date.  We fell in love with your squishy, newborn little face and snuggled and savored the first hours and days of your little newness.  A year later, we still snuggle and savor each day and celebrate the beautiful, happy, smiley, adventurous, courageous, loving, snuggly little boy you are turning into.  Your smile, almost constant, is contagious and makes us all smile and laugh with you.  Peter you are so so loving and snuggly and you absolutely adore playing with your brother and sister.  You also tolerate bumps and bruises that come with the territory of being the third kid very well and are always quick to scurry away and catch up to Eli and Finn.  

You are sleeping like a champ and have been for the past two month, sleeping from 6:30 to 6:30 almost without a peep.  You wake up all smiles, have breakfast, play a little and are back down for a nap at 8:30-10, play some more, eat lunch and nap with Finn at noon to about 1:30/2, then you play until 6:30 when suddenly you are done and after your bath within minutes you are asleep from a very fun and exhausting day:)  You are also quite an incredible eater and love to eat anything and everything as long as you get to eat it yourself, you hate to be spoon fed.  We continue to sustain a big ant colony because of your eating habits despite my cleaning attempts.  You have had 6 teeth for the past 5 months and all of a sudden at least 3 new ones are coming through.  You have been crawling with amazing speed since you were 9 1/2 months old and have now perfected cruising around furniture, standing unsupported for at least 10 seconds and today you took 4 steps.  It is days before you are off, upright and running around.  

Peter you have given us perspective on parenting and a greater perspective on life than I could have ever known.  You have taught me so much about balance and all that truly matters, because to be honest I have no time for anything else.  We couldn't have dreamed of a happier, fuller life and we adore you to pieces.

Peter 11 months

Happy 11 months Peter

Our smiley, happy little boy, we can't believe you are almost a yearn old.  You have grown so much this past month.  You are so so fast and on the move constantly, crawling everywhere, cruising around furniture and climbing on everything... you are fearless.  You are more adventurous and fearless than both Eli & Finn and we have to be on our toes a little more so you don't get into trouble.   Before we know it, you are in the bathroom splashing around in the toilet, and since Finn misses 50% of the time, this isn't the best place to splash around in:)  You love love love the water, and at the pool you just keep crawling until you are almost underwater if we're not careful.   Your sweet and smiley disposition is becoming a true reflection of your snuggly, sweet and happy little personality.  We adore you our sweet little boy.

Peter 10 months

Happy 10 months Peter

You are still the smiliest, happiest, and snuggliest little baby or rather little boy.  This month you have grown out of the baby phase and now are looking more and more like a little person, a very tall and lanky little person.  You are finally getting some rolls around your thighs and arms.  You are a great eater and love to eat almost anything.  You have turned into a wonderful sleeper and now will sleep most of the night, waking up only at 5 am for a bottle, only to continue with your sleep until 6:30 or so.  You adore to be around Eli and Finn.  You started crawling at just over 9 months and now are a very fast crawler.  You pull up and stand on everything, and even can climb 1-2 stairs.    We couldn't love you more!

Girls weekend

I am so blessed in life with the most incredible girlfriends, the ones that complete a part of you, heart and sou, in a way that no other relationship can.  We had an amazing weekend in Seattle, and Peter was loved on by these beauties and was an angel of a shopping assistant.

These 4 have become such wonderful buddies and get along incredibly.... it helps that their parents also are wonderful friends that we love spending time with.

Watching tractors and firetruck on you tube has become this boys favorite thing to do!

Attempt at a hike to Ancient Lakes.... definitely an adventure where we carried all three kids for at least half of the cold and windy 2 mile hike ;)
