One of the many things that is great about living in Wenatchee is that you can always count on sunshine.  It doesn't hurt either that lake Chelan is 45 minutes away.

Elise even tolerated having her feet dangled in the lake while Becky and I enjoyed swims in August Chelan water - heavenly.

Elise's first sleep-over!

We had a lovely visit with Joanna, Garrett and Ali this past weekend.  We met the Gilchrists during a birthing class in January, as we were both expecting baby girls in February.  It turns out that Alexandria was born just two days before Elise.  Since then we've had weekly walks around Greenlake and play dates, and it has been so much fun to see the two girls grow and reach new milestone practically at the same pace.  Ali is such sweet, collected and thoughtful girl already not to mention so adorably cute that you just want to kiss and pinch her constantly.   Since we've moved, it has been 5 weeks since we've seen each other and it was such a treat to spend parts of the weekend together.  Come visit again, soon!!!!

Six months old

Elise Ana... we cannot beleive you are half a year old today.  You are becoming a sassy energetic little babe.  Two of your bottom teeth have poked through and you love to bite anything you get your hands on, which seems to be anything and everything within your reach and then some.  You can sit for 20 seconds or so without toppling over, are starting to like tummy time and can get yourself out of it pretty quickly by rolling both directions.  At your doctors visit you measured in a 15 pounds 3.5 oz and 25.25 inches long, which puts you at the 25th-50th% in size... but brains you have at 43.75cm which puts you at 95%.  We love you, our little peanut.

We love having grandparents around and had so much fun at your six month birthday party tonight:)

Sunshine, friends and lake chelan!

Finally getting some pictures posted of our week at the cabin in lake Chelan.   Weather was hot, water was cool (59-62 degrees at the most) and with our friends and family it was perfect!

Not the most efficient way to shop, with three babies and six adults, but it was crazy fun chaos.

Courtney, Jesse and Cade came to visit!

The kiddos were all snuggles on the sofa

Out of the hundreds of photos, impossible to get them sitting still and facing even closely in the same direction

Blackberry picking for cobblers... Flow was a great chef!

The three red heads!

Elise loved Becky Daisy!

Allison with her baby Violet - this was the only way she was going in :)

Evan trying to get Violet to jump in:)

Luna Bear and Vi sharing a stick... these two needed a few days to recover after the cabin:)
Auntie Lucie and Jackie so sweet to Elise.

Thanks for the special week everyone!!!!

Good bye Seattle, Hello Wenatchee

This anticipation of our move to Wenatchee has been long time coming, but regardless of how mentally ready you may feel or how much time you have to plan and prepare, you never really are ready to say goodbye, see you later! We are going to miss Seattle so much... from the quaint coffee shops on every corner, greenery everywhere you look, Puget Sound, rainy days, cool temperatures that allow for outdoor play mid-day, GREENLAKE (I miss that place just thinking about it), University Village... but mostly the friends and family that were so close by.

Two days after Evan took the bar exam we were all packed up and ready to go.  With the help of my parents, Lucie & Quinn and Allison & Travis, we loaded up the Uhaul and started our long caravan over the pass.  Welcoming us were sunny skies, beautiful sunshine, golden sage hils, the Columbia river passing through the valley... a completely different kind of beauty.  But most importantly, both sets of Elise's grandparents and our parents are here!  We are so excited to be so close, only minutes drive to each, and that is absolutely priceless.

It is going to be a transition for us, but we are gradually unpacking and settling into our new place.  A cute little home with three times the square footage of our place in Seattle.  Evan starts work at a local law firm at the end of the month and I will start in October at a PT clinic in East Wenatchee, so until then we have the month of August to play!

On our last day we took one last stroll at GL and documented every corner;)

Can't wait to take Elise to this wading pool next year.

Even Spanish Lessons grandpa will be missed.

Grandma Connie made a delicious Uhaul cake for Evan's, Lucie's and Petr's triple birthday celebration!
 Elise is loving pool time!

Fun with the Floreas

So happy the Floreas missed their ferry to Bainbridge Island so that we could meet up for a quick visit at the waterfront.  Logan is such a cutie... never too early for love at first sight for miss Elise; needless to say they couldn't keep their hands off each other - grabbing shirts and fingers and exchanging some drool too!
