Aloha ~ We just got home from an amazing getaway to Maui! The sunshine, the ocean, the pool and living on island time for a week was absolutely divine. Elise was a trooper on the plane, though didn't nap much more than 30 minutes; she was excited to get to the beach.
We relaxed, swam, and enjoyed Maui... with modification as we found ourselves taking turns going back to the condo for aftenoon naps with Elise, turning in for the night at 8 (and that was pushing it) and avoiding the beach as it turned out to be more work than it was worth (Elise was terrified of touching the sand with her feet or getting anywhere near the ocean water - had no problems walking barefoot on lava rock:)) We were more than happy to adjust our vacation mode, as all of those things will be waiting there when we return and perhaps then she will have grown into loving the beach! Of course we took hundreds of photos so I may go overboad on posting.
No fun, mommy... please don't keep trying to make me like it:)
We have a some scrapes and broozes as souveniers; including this almost split eyebrow.
