The cabin is such a special and fun gathering place and for so many families and friends it has been the place of some amazing memories. I feel so lucky to be able to spend time up there and enjoy the beautiful cove the cabin is nestled in.
We had a great 4th at the lake with wonderful friends the Smiths and Riekes. Having grandma there was an added special treat. Though the water had dropped that night by 5 degrees to 59, brrrr..., some of us did jump in to cool off. The kiddos were exhausted with all the play and loved it.

The afternoon of the 4th a fire started a few miles up lake from the cabin, thankfully on the other side of the lake where there are no cabins. In place of fireworks, it was quite the show watching the fire that evening.
